Our mission in action

Presence is where compassion becomes practical.

In March 2022, Matigari sent its first mission team to Eburru, near Gilgil, Kenya. Lay evangelists, university students, medical professionals, educators, and local partners worked side by side to serve the whole person.

The work included free health camps, eye care, Bible studies, school outreach, food hampers, hygiene support, and ongoing discipleship. The mission continues through a 1.88-acre church and community service site.

We serve together in faith and compassion, with every gift entrusted to a purpose.

“Together, we have built something powerful. Together, we can overcome any challenge. No member walks alone in times of sorrow.”

— Chairman Elijah Ngugi, 2024 Annual Address

What began as a gospel outreach in our motherland, Kenya, became a welfare family that has stood with 31 families in their darkest hours — with the Treasurer reporting disciplined stewardship and the Board inviting every member to stay current, stay engaged, and help grow the next chapter. This June, we return to Eburru for our second mission — sanctuary, health camp, and schools.
